windows vista explorer 7 not working

windows vista / explorer 7 not working

I have not long downloaded windows vista and it comes with IE7. I have a problem with IE7 in which is does not work now. I had one web page open and msn messenger plus yahoo messenger. I clicked on msn e-mail icon and it loaded IE7 as it should do but IE7 crashed said it was not responding so I went to close it down and start again, I went though the sending info back to Microsoft which took ages. the problem I have not is IE7 does not work it loads part way but does not get to home page at all. when IE7 opens now it runs at nearly 100% CPU processor power.
is there a way to reinstall it or fix the damn thing.

I had a similar problem and kinda still do. I think I have a way to help it work better when it act funny. I delete ALL of the IE7 files in interent options, like temp internet files, cache and so on. Then I reset IE7 to defaults and then it seems to work fine. -- AMD-FX-60 2gb OCZ Plat. memory ATI 1800 AIW 2x74gb Raptors in RAID-0 2x400gb WD HDD in RAID-1 Epox Nvidia-4 Ultra M/B

I had the same problems with IE7 so I fixed it by....
going right back to using my Firefox, especially now that we have the very useful Google Synch add-on for synching between computers. :)

I have been suggesting this before you, so I could just as easily say you took my suggestion. Doing this but launching Internet Options from the Control Panel saved my IE7 which was crashing everytime: doing anything was making it crash. So thank you Andre!

Thank you for that, it helped me too since my IE 7 was just freezing when I opened it.
I'm sticking to Firefox as my main browser as amongst other things I love the Google Synch between my desktop and laptop but for the sites that need IE at least I have it now.
Cheers.
